Beautiful Bach Kitchen Renovation

This gorgeous Leigh Bach kitchen renovation project by Natalie Du Bois from Du Bois Design, featuring our flooring, won 5 awards at the NKBA 2021 Excellence in Design Awards in July.

Natalie Du Bois turned this bach kitchen into a modern and sophisticated space, making it worthy of the Best Kitchen Renovation Award.

Suggestions were made to the client of re-orientating the U-shape kitchen into a user-friendly galley island kitchen, including large glass doors to the rear deck to access the back of the property, offering views from the West in order to create a lighter and brighter space. A low bean was also raised in the ceiling with tiles being replaced with gib.

Six months after the kitchen had been installed, the client approached Natalie with the request to renovate the laundry to match the kitchen area, with a change in flooring to herringbone pattern for a unique point of difference.

The laundry area wasn't an entry in the design awards, but is just a stunning as the kitchen.

The flooring used in this project was Smartfloor Antique Oak, which has since been discontinued. A similar product that we would recommend is Moda Altro Sorrento Light Feature in plank format and Herringbone pattern.
