Tamahere Country Club
Waikato
At the heart of this experience is the clubhouse – a welcoming hub where residents gather throughout the day for conversation, activities, and quiet moments alike.
The clubhouse accommodates the full rhythm of daily life: a bar and dining room for meals and celebrations, a cinema for film nights, a library for quiet reading, lounge areas for catching up with neighbors, and snooker and billiard tables for friendly competition. Flexible function rooms support everything from community meetings to family gatherings. It's a space designed to be both active and restful, allowing residents to engage or retreat as they choose.
Timber plays a central role in creating the clubhouse's warm, inviting character. In the bar and lounging space, Forté's Moda Dolcedo herringbone flooring establishes a sense of refinement and tactility underfoot – durable enough for high traffic yet elegant enough to elevate the everyday. Above, the ceiling is lined with Moda Verona, its natural grain and soft tone drawing the eye upward while enhancing the light that fills the space. The timber brings acoustic warmth and visual continuity, softening hard surfaces and creating an environment that feels grounded rather than institutional.
For residents, the clubhouse isn't just a facility – it's a living room shared with the community. The material choices support that sense of comfort and belonging, helping create a space where people want to linger, whether over morning coffee, an afternoon card game, or evening drinks with friends.
