Millboard Envello is a premium timber-alternative cladding designed to give the look and feel of natural timber, without the usual movement, maintenance or durability concerns.
The core is made from a mineral resin blend of crushed limestone, fibreglass and polyurethane, making it stable, inert and resistant to rot. It handles much like timber and can be worked with standard woodworking tools.
The surface is made from Lastane, with the grain hand-moulded from real oak boards. The colour is then hand-applied and finished with a 2K coating, giving each board natural tonal variation and a realistic timber texture.
Envello Cladding is engineered for performance across New Zealand's demanding conditions, with scope extending to wind zones up to and including extra high as defined in NZS 3604:2011. Designed for vertical orientation on low-rise residential and select commercial projects, the system suits both timber and lightweight steel framing, and can be applied across two-storey buildings with an inter-storey junction. Installation must follow the conditions set out in E2/AS1 and NZS 3604:2011 to ensure long-term weathertightness and compliance.

Detailed technical drawings accompany each junction and condition, providing the dimensional accuracy and construction detail required to translate the guide directly into working drawings.
Compliance is demonstrated under CodeMark CMNZ70204, addressing NZBC clauses for structure, durability, external moisture and hazardous building materials, with a fire classification of D-s3, d0 (NZ Fire Rating Group 3). Envello is a low-carbon material that has been rigorously tested to ensure our production has minimal impact on the environment. While most composite cladding boards are thermoplastic (melted plastic mixed with wood), the structural core of Envello is a blend of natural minerals bonded in a polymer resin – such composite materials are designed to provide mechanical strength, chemical resistance and durability.
