    Set on a rural Auckland property, the Tuhimata Residence is a breezy take on a modern farmhouse — the kind of home built for a young family to grow into and stay in. Interior designer Hayley Dryland of August & Co. Design shaped a classic aesthetic throughout: shaker cabinetry in soft white, stone benchtops, rattan pendants, and brass fittings that nod to the home's rural setting without feeling precious.

    Running through the living spaces, kitchen, and laundry, our Villa flooring in Russet anchors the interior with warmth and depth. Its rich, knotted oak character and variation in grain bring the kind of natural imperfection that suits a working family home — beautiful underfoot, and only better with time. Against the pale palette above, it provides grounding; against the landscape outside, it feels entirely at home.
