Millboard's Embered Oak lengths are reminiscent of timber preserved using the Japanese Yakisugi (aka Shou Sugi Ban) technique, which involves burning the surface of the timber in order to weatherproof it. The dramatic hue and characterful texture of this product are the perfect mix of modern-day style and tradition, sure to complement many spaces. Embered Oak is part of Millboard's 'Weathered Oak' collection - moulded from 100-year-old reclaimed oak timber which gives the appearance and texture of real wood while providing a distinctive time-worn look. Each board is hand coloured to recreate the subtle nuances that only natural wood can give.
